DJ Maddy cooks with Ayam Brand - Prawn Laksa

DJ Maddy tries her hand at cooking one of Singapore's iconic dish - Laksa! All made easy with the Ayam Brand Laksa paste!

PRAWN LAKSA (Serves 2)

1 jar AYAM™ Laksa Paste 185g

AYAM™ Coconut Milk 270ml

250gm Yellow noodles or Thick Bee Hoon

250g peeled and cooked prawns

1 ½ cups of water or vegetable stock

5 pieces toufu puff (aka Tau Pok), cut into small triangles

100g bean sprouts, blanched

Coriander, to garnish

 

Method:

1.Combine Laksa Sauce, water or vegetable stock, coconut milk in a saucepan, cover, bring to boil.
2.Add bean curd and prawns, then reduce heat.
3.Meanwhile, blanch noodles and divide them between two bowls. Ladle the soup over the noodles, top with bean sprouts and sprinkle with coriander.
 

A few Hints: Add hard boiled egg cut into two. Replace prawns with chicken or fish fillets.
